SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN – MACHINE AND AUTOMATION

Entrust has an opening for an experienced systems technician to assist in the construction and commissioning of a variety of machine tools and automation projects.  This is a high profile, career position with leadership potential.

Training is available for mechanical, electrical or maintenance technicians who wish to expand into a systems position and grow their careers.

Job Requirements

• Assist in assembly of machines - electrical, fluid power and mechanical

• Start up machines and troubleshoot basic functions

• Configure drives, network communications and other intelligent machine devices

• Load machine programs and commission machines

• Calibrate machines for position accuracy and dynamic response

• Test machines under power with tooling

• Modify part programs as required

• Participate in machine runoff and customer training

• Field installation of equipment and training

• Occasional travel for installations and customer support

General Requirements 

• Associates degree in electrical, mechanical or maintenance technology (or similar structured training)

• Experience with industrial equipment, machine tools and automation

• Flexibility - willingness to perform various job functions as needed to finish projects, work overtime hours when required and travel within the USA and internationally

• Self directed, organized and productive

• Attention to detail and a value for workmanship

• Valid US Passport and drivers license

• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs safely

• Ability to climb ladders, safely work above floor level and have sufficient physical strength and flexibility to work on machine mounted components

Experience with the following will be considered relevant to the position: 

• PLC and HMI programming - Siemens and Allen Bradley

• CNC programming - Fanuc, Siemens

• Robot programming and setup - Fanuc

• Servo motion control, single and coordinated axis

• Variable speed drives, open and closed loop

• Fluid power systems – Hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication and coolant

• Industrial networking – Profibus, Ethernet, etc.

• Industrial control system standards for USA and other countries

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – MACHINE BUILDER

Entrust has an opening for an experienced mechanical technician to build precision machinery and automation.  This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity and troubleshooting abilities.

 Job Description

• Assemble precision machinery from components using engineering drawings as reference

• Perform machine alignment checks and geometry correction during build and under power

• Plumb hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication devices

• Basic electrical component mounting and occasional machine wiring assistance

• Install machines at customer facilities and occasional field service (10% travel)

Experience and Requirements

• General machining and close tolerance measurement

• Welding and fabricating skills

• Repair and maintenance of machine tools

• Hydraulic and pneumatic circuit theory and practices

• Basic electrical theory and practices

• Self directed, organized and productive

• Attention to detail and a value for workmanship

• Professional communication and the ability to work with others

Advanced experience will also provide additional opportunities

• Tool and Die machining skills

• CNC programming skills

• High performance cutting tool and machining process understanding

• Laser alignment training

• Customer training and field service
