Entrust, a leading machine tool manufacturer, has an opening for a full time buyer. Reporting to the
materials manager, the buyer is responsible for negotiating and procuring raw materials, tooling, services,
and purchased components, with a focus on quality, price, and timely delivery of the product or service.
Job Requirements
- Receive material requirements from Engineering
and identify all purchase requirements for raw
materials, purchased components, and purchased
services
- Assist in identifying and evaluating the best supplier for
product or service required
- Consolidate purchase requirements for several
machines
- Obtain quotes from vendors for price comparison
- Place purchase orders with approved vendors
- Expedite and coordinate delivery of materials or
services
- Monitor return goods as needed and ensure
processing for credit
- Perform other duties as required
General Requirements
- High School Education with technical school and
experience as a buyer preferred
- Experience with industrial equipment, machine
tools, and automation preferred
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes,
procedures, and machinery
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft
Outlook, and Microsoft Word with ERP / MRP
experience
- Excellent work ethic and the ability to work
self-directed
- Organized thought process with a very high
attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
